We have an interview with Keri Leigh Merritt, a historian based out of Atlanta who focuses on the american history from the Antebellum era through Reconstruction.

We detail anti-confederate resistance in the Deep South, such as Mossbacks, as well as the legacy of failures from Reconstruction.

We also hit on the relationship between poor whites and both the free and enslaved black populations, how there were blips of mutual aid and solidarity between poor whites and black folks, and what factors kept that solidarity from generalizing and effecting the US political structure.
