Happy HallowSCREAM boys, ghouls and nonbi-scary’s! Mckenzie and Io are talking about Texas chainsaw Massacres 1 and 2. Two movies of distilled human degradation and American nihilism from opposite ends of the spectrum. The first being one of the most evil, grotesque and unbelievably artful movies ever made – the next an infinitely rewatchable funhouse romp that hits every note of the first movie, but plays it completely for laughs. We talk about neoliberal automation taking good American jobs like smashing cows heads with a big hammer, murder vs. sex, the pitiless cosmic forces that will decide you and I’s fate, and of course meat. PETA could have sponsored these movies as one of their obnoxious ad campaigns about how all meat (cow, dog, human, bug) is the same because yeah good point. It’s movie about meat. It’s meat all the way down. Look to your right, look to your left, look at your palm. It’s all meat baby.
